Regional Managing Director, West Region at Cresset, and President of Cresset Trust Company

Jon Crow is Regional Managing Director, West Region at Cresset, and President of Cresset Trust Company.

Jon’s enthusiasm for numbers and finance is matched only by his enthusiasm and appreciation for people. An accountant by trade and training, he feels fortunate to have found the concept of the “family office” by accident. Jon’s career began as an intern at a small boutique public accounting firm in Texas, it was a specialty practice serving families that had an operating business with a financial office. He rose through the firm’s ranks and spent a great deal of time in those various family offices. When Jon moved back to Minnesota in 1998, he had learned a great deal from his earlier experiences and had developed a knack for it. He sought out a position with Sargent Management Company, which was the Pillsbury/Ankeny family office, one of the first true “multi-family offices.”

Jon enjoys working with Cresset’s client service teams to deliver creative solutions to complex problems. He experiences true satisfaction when he relieves a client of a particular problem or addresses a complex financial issue that arises with the many possible changes in life. “These are the times where our advisor’s financial skill sets combine with their ability to establish relationships allowing Cresset to become our client’s trusted partner.”

He earned a master’s degree in finance from the University of St. Thomas, a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas Arlington and is a graduate of the Cannon Trust School. Jon is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Trust Financial Advisor.
